Weekly photo challenge Shine

So many shiny things when we look around us, here are a few photos from my archives.
This week’s https://dailypost.wordpress.com/photo-challenges/shine/

In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Change.”

Every day we have changes in our lives. New seasons, habits, locations, lifestyle, hobbies, friends and every day is a new canvas, a new beginning. Lets change!  Lets make a difference!

From Every Angle

I love taking photos at different angles!  Here are some of my photos I’ve taken in the past few months.  This blog is in response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “From Every Angle.”

Unplanned renovation

We bought a beautiful old home and as with homes you do plan your decoration and renovation.  We really wanted to focus on the kitchen first after the basic painting and soft furnishing through out the house.

Unfortunately things changed suddenly when we noticed our lamp in the kitchen filled with water.  We decided to ‘update’ the flooring in the bathroom which is directly above the kitchen to ensure that no water is leaking through the floor boards.

The floor looked beautiful! Unfortunately when looking at the walls we noticed that the tiles do not look that stable, so my hubby dared to take some tiles down.  Unfortunately a piece of the wall came down with it so… our plans changed.  The kitchen is now on the back burner and the bathroom needs to be redone.

Here is my photo journal of the project so far:

This week’s photo challenge is ephemeral or lasting for a very short time.

One thing that also does not last very long in our home is the energy bites I make for snack time.  Have a look at some of these photos here.

This week’s photo challenge is Fresh.

I must admit, when I hear the word fresh, I immediately think food and flowers.  Here are some of my photos.

I also love cooking and baking, so there are always freshly made food at home.  Click on the photos below to have a look at all the fun things I make at home.

This week’s photo challenge is ‘Reward‘.
I’ve been on a short course for ‘Intermediate Pottery’ and this has been my reward so far…

What a fun day!  As a family we went to Ashburton Cookery School for the Edible Christmas gift course with Chef Joe.  We had such and amazing time learning to make some homemade edible gifts as well as spending the time together as a family in the kitchen – just what you want for Christmas!
